Trump's tax write-off shows his business 'genius,' Giuliani, Christie say

Donald Trump's decision to take a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax return showed his business acumen and "genius" at figuring out how to minimize his tax bill, two of the Republican presidential candidate's advisers said on Sunday.

"This is a perfectly legal application of the tax code. And he would have been fool not to take advantage of it," said Rudy Giuliani, the former New York mayor who is one of Trump's advisers.

I’m glad Trump has such good, no-nonsense advocates who will go on TV and fight the propagandists’ BS. This is such a nothing story, but somebody has to be there to point that out to the LIVs. Anyone criticizing Trump over this who hasn’t paid additional taxes than he or she actually legally owed is a hypocrite. From the way the leftists talk, you’d think they were all mailing in extra checks to the IRS, but somehow they don’t.

Hillary used the same law in 2015:

The New York Times paid no taxes in 2014:

Those are facts!

You’d be surprised, a lot of people are talking about ‘not paying taxes’ and how it must be nice ‘for smart rich guys’. Unfortunately they vote, luckily they’re mostly already in the tank for Hillary.

This was posted months ago, and it’s true. Trump should hit this hard in the next debate.

The jerk-poffs at the New York Times should do a series on ‘Men Who Tell Their CPA’s They WANT TO PAY MORE IN TAXES’...

(That is if they can find one person in that category)

When he wins, this could be a huge springboard to changing the tax code.

Not that it matters. Seriously, all we are doing is re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

It would be sort of dumb for America to tell businesses that they are going to tax them on their losses.

Why not tax them on their gross receipts instead of their profit?

If you care about businesses succeeding in your country, if you care about the thousands employed by businesses, if you care about their suppliers, transporters, clerks, accountants, and secretaries, then you will do what you can to assist a business that has losses by not trying to squeeze them when they are down. You’ll allow them a shot at getting back on their feet.

Hyperbole, much? Over the top headline, “business genius”? I think he, in fact is, a “business genius”, but not for this.

What he had done there was hire the right people (tax accountants). This was smart not genius.

Let’s keep it real people.

GO TRUMP!

As a THINKING adult, one who is LOATHE to let Mother Government have one extra DIME that belongs to me, I have spent my entire working life avoiding paying taxes wherever I could, taking ALL the deductions I could, and NEVER getting back a tax ‘refund’ which is just, plain STUPID.

Don’t GIVE your $ to Government as an interest-free loan for the year! Yeesh! She’d NEVER do that for you!

Finally! Validation via Trump, LOL! I love it. :)

Why not tax them on their gross receipts instead of their profit?

This would be a nightmare for many companies with high overhead due to built-in factors in their industry segment. They would be taxed much more than lower-overhead companies, a downward spiral.
