Good news--87yo cowboy decided to come along with mom. I think the visit from LEO got him to thinking about the sanity of his decision. They also informed him that everyone else in their building had already departed. He was going to be very alone.
Of course, that meant that everyone had to wait while he packed his bug out bag. Eeeesh.
Report from evacuation highways--bumper-to-bumper traffic with lots of RVs.
Real good to hear... at least everybody has 24 hours to get gone... and RVs mean less pressure on scarce hotel rooms (unless everybody goes to Disney).
Hopefully tolls were suspended on the turnpike... that’s the usual practice. Orange County would do well to do the same.
