Political activists in the ‘60s were not interested in ‘being gay’. Violating ‘bourgeois’ (bourgeois = Middle Class) morality with homosexual activity was just another merit badge in the rebellion club. Middle class morality has to go away along with middle class economic power (thus open borders and free trade).

The anti-Bill Clinton movement in 1998-2000 boosted his popularity and hurt the GOP in the 1998 midterms.
