Hate crimes in L.A. County jumped in 2015, report says

A black man and his roommates looked outside their Northridge house in January 2015 to see that a 5-by-6-foot cross had been burned on their lawn.

That April, four motorists of Armenian descent reported having their cars vandalized in North Hollywood. Two of their vehicles, which displayed the Armenian flag, had been spray-painted with the year 1915 — the year of the Armenian genocide.

Two months later, a lesbian said she was walking to a store in Whittier when two men pulled up in a car. One screamed a gay slur, shouted, “I should kill you!” and pointed a gun at her before driving away. The next day, a swastika was painted at the entrance of a Hollywood school with the words “Kill Jewish Boys.”

Smells doubtful. How many people even know of the Armenian genocide, let alone do the research to find an Armenian?

Trickle down hate from the White House. Obama is the worst thing to happen to race relations since the Democrats tried to block Civil Rights legislation.

Most “hate crimes” turn out to be hoaxes. Many of them that involve damage to property are insurance fraud schemes. Others are used to advance a cause, or just stir up trouble. When they are discovered to be hoaxes, they are just dropped, and seldom is the person charged with a crime.

Remember the big story about how Confederate flags were left at the MLK church in Atlanta last year? Big story for days, then it just disappeared. My guess is that it was discovered that the person reporting finding the tiny flags was the same person who put them there.

Exactly - I wasn’t even aware of an Armenian genocide and wouldn’t recognize the flag.

“O’s” legacy = flat economy; zero job growth; zero job security; increase in hate crimes; increase in ALL crimes; increase in the number and activity of America's enemies; increase in ISIS strength and boldness; national boarders like a torn pocketbook; zero confidence in America as an ally; zero respect for America and Americans; social instability in the US; demonstrations and civil disorder reaching extremes of frequency and violence like never before, etc... nice going!

Smells doubtful.

Well, I'm of Incan descent. And some Conquistador-looking guy gave me a funny look yesterday. I'd file an official complaint, but they don't print the complaint forms in Incan.

I don’t know about L.A. but there is a huge population of Armenians in the Boston area and they have been here for generations

The plot twist is that virtually all of the black on (insert race here) crimes are almost never seen as “hate crimes”.

If those were included, so-called hate crimes would disappear from public discourse.

You are right. Sounds like this could have been done by a Turk, but then again, I wonder how many of these were false flags?

We were told that as California became more diverse and white people were no longer in the majority racism would go away. What happened?

I remember a few years ago some Black churches that were burned, and it turned out to be two Black guys that were setting them on fire. I wonder who was paying them? It was hushed up as soon as they were convicted.

You know arti I like to post here.

I've shared before as a child, I prayed to God that race relations would improve by the time I was *grown up*

At 54, seems like the further than ever from being resolved.

Fresno, CA, used to be known as he home of “Armenian Indians”. This reference was well known in the 50’s.
