California Governor Signs Bill Allowing Felons to Vote From Their Jail Cells
The London Daily Mail ^ | 29 September 2016 | By Geoff Earle, Deputy U.s. Political Editor For Dailymail.com In Bedord, New Hampshire

Convicted felons serving jail sentences in California county jails will now get to participate in an activity besides three meals a day and recreation time: votingin elections. Governor Jerry Brown signed new legislation into effect as part of a reform backers say will help prisoners transition back into society while still serving time for their crimes. The bill he signed would let thousands of felons doing time in county jails to vote in California elections, the LA Times reported. The new law also reinstates eligibility to vote for those ex-prisoners on probation or being kept under community supervision starting next year.

One state lawmaker, Sen. Patricia Bates, slammed the legislation. “It is very disappointing that felons still serving their sentences behind bars will now be able to vote since Governor Brown failed to veto this really bad bill,” she said in a statement. But Daniel Zingale, senior vice president of The California Endowment health foundation, told the paper, 'Mass disenfranchisement for minor offenses is a tragic legacy of the Jim Crow era that disproportionately affects and diminishes the power of communities of color.' California's action fits within a broader national push to expand voting rights for ex-felons, with laws getting determined state by state.

Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe has been battling with his state's legislature in the courts over his own effort to restore voting rights. In his latest action, he individually restored voting rights to 13,000 felons. McAuliffe cited the power of 'second chances.'

In Congress, Democrats have introduced legislation to restore voting rights in federal elections to criminals upon release from jail, while Kentucky Senator Rand Paul introduced legislation to restore voting rights to non-violent offenders. 'It would be transformative if everybody voted, President Obama told a Cleveland crowd last year.

“I imagine there will be lots of jobs building gallows big enough to hang so many degenerate marxist democrat scum.”

I’m in the sheet metal business. Maybe I can get a contract for making guillotine blades. I’d be willing to invest in the necessary equipment and tooling.

Under Jim Crow, wasn’t the typical prison population 95% white?

How can it be a legacy?

Except for the area around San Diego, the state is pretty much a wasteland. Governor Brown has totally devastated the whole state.

What Brown has done to CA, Hillary wants to do to all of the USA. I only hope people recognize that and don’t support her election.

Meet Charles Manson who will be Hillary's ward heeler in California prisons. If you don't vote for her, Charlie and his friends will know what to do to you.

If they succeed, Hillary issues federal pardons to Charlie and his friends and they are back in business. Unless Obozo beats her to it.

Thankfully, this makes no difference in a Presidential election. However, I imagine it could have an impact on Congressional and local elections. This is not right.

So after he grants the felons the right to vote, is he going to restore their gun rights too after they get out?

Hopefully no felons! They must be referring to those with misdemeanors. I’m not being sarcastic. I’m just hoping they stick by the law. But, we know they don’t.

It has become clear to me that when Leftists/democrat socialists are voted into positions of power, they spend a substantial portion of their time and devote a significant portion of their power and authority to finding and implementing policies that inflict the most harm possible on America and on Americans.

I truly believe this of the Left.

The only way the dems can win elections is by voter fraud and illegal actions such as Gov Moonbeam has taken in this scenario

ACORN, Soros counting the votes in several states, millions of non-citizen illegal insurgent criminal alien colonists voting.

Motor voter, all any illegal has to do is check the box next to Are you a citizen and they can vote.

And lets not leave out all of the tens of 1000's of mid eastern "refugees," you know, women and children (I saw a bus load of them at a border check point, 20-30 yr old "orphans" and "children" males with tattoos) many affiliated with Mrs Bill Clinton and Obama's creation: ISIS For any election to have the correct outcome there needs to be about a 20% buffer of legal votes to counter all the fraud.

The Dems had a notice taped to their campaign table the other day giving all the conditions under which convicted peoples may vote. On the right was a short list of those who can’t: those still behind bars and those on parole.

Bad enough but at least we’re still not Calfelonia.
