The ACC officially has a new location for its football championship game.
The conference announced Thursday morning that the game will move to Orlando’s Camping World Stadium. The move comes two weeks after the conference, following an NCAA decision, decided to move all of its championships outside of the state of North Carolina because of House Bill 2 (HB2), a state law that requires transgender people to use public bathrooms that match the gender on their birth certificates instead of the gender with which they identify.

These big games are not really moneymakers for the cities. Dallas did the Super Bowl, and after the game, a study showed ZERO sales uptick in terms of sales tax revenue, hotel occupancy, restaurants, etc.
The Acc presidents must have been afraid of offending the big money that seems to control so much of this country. This is so dumb and against common sense, that money has to be involved.

Could be - the action that drew the most attention was HB-2 and is the basis for the NFL & NCAA pulling events from NC. I’ll check your info out.
True enough, but a dirty secret of the bowl game racket is that the budgets nowadays include travel and hospitality expenses for large contingents of academic staff and administrators from the participating schools. For those so privileged, a bowl game is a free trip. Ordinary fans, of course, are not quite so lucky and have to pay their own way.
At the ACC Championship Game in Orlando EVERY man should use the women’s rest room. They complain about having to stand in line. I hope all the men make the lines longer then they’ll have to go use the urinals.
