On the Austin bypass we call 146 mph a leisurely drive.
I got up to 130 on the back of a motorcycle once, and it scared the crap out of me.
I also took my parents 1972 Greenbriar station wagon up to 120 on the day after Senior Prom, and I felt that was, in retrospect, not smart. The car had the power to do it, but it seemed to kind of...float, bobbing slowly up and down.
I had to look it up...long stretch of road with no exits???
Do they just not monitor it?
