A neon going 146?

Have you been trained in radar use?
When were you last trained?
Did you calibrate the radar before use?
If no -
When was the radar last calibrated?
Who performed the calibration?
When was the person last certified?

etc

Most cops today use LIDAR, a laser form of what was once called Radar. They are more accurate, don’t need to be calibrated in the same manner as radar and are much less susceptible to picking up a different vehicle from the one the cop was aiming at.

I remember a story where someone beat a ticket because he showed the officer did not use the radar gun properly and got a reading that was not possible. Turns out he helped design the gun and brought one with him to prove his point. Needless to say, he got off.

“The Neon SRT-4 rips to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, to 100 in 13.8, covers a quarter-mile in 14.2 seconds at 102 mph, and keeps on huffin’ all the way to 153 mph.”
