Any chance the light is a timing queue indicating time remaining to respond? Trumps may be out after maybe going past the allotted time? Maybe installed on the right side of the lecterns and we can’t see it on Trumps, but the angle on Hillary’s makes it visible. On the other video that shows the light going out on the lectern at the end it did look like it went beyond the microphone base. Damn deja vu. Could be reversed and the light comes on indicating time is up. The Clintons are so tiring!!! I hate that my mind even has to delve into their darkness.

Not from what I saw. It's built into the backboard of Hillary Clinton's podium top, but not Trumps. Why would they be so radically different in design if that were the case? They wouldn't be. Also the video I saw where Hillary's podium light faded after she stepped away looked like a computer screen timeout, taking several seconds to fade away. Regular lights don't do that.
