I really appreciate what all of you are saying. But the fact is that the government did NOT do anything against the perpetrators.

See the 28 pages, or however many it was. It doesn’t mean that the US govt was complicit in the 9/11 act itself, but it was complicit in denying justice to the victims. If the executive branch refuses to provide for the common defence and promote the general welfare, what recourse do the injured have, if not the legislative branch?

If the legislative branch opens the door to private sector action, how is that a government initiative?

And as much as I find the work that lawyers do distasteful, as a very general statement, what is wrong with paying lawyers to obtain recompense from guilty parties?

So why didnt Congress declare war? Why didnt Congress impose a trade embargo and sanctions?

If the guilty parties are known then why are not they being sued personally? Or are you saying we were attacked by the Saudi government?

The families of the victims have been recompensed. How much more are they supposed to get? There will be no end to the creativity of the bar in seeking cash. We are not after justice or even vengence we are after cash. And turn about will be a beeeitch.

By your own admission, the U.S. government shielded guilty parties after the fact. Isn't it convenient that Congress is willing to let Americans sue Saudi Arabia over 9/11 -- but isn't allowing them to sue the U.S. government?
