Mayor Steve Fulop ended his three-year flirtation with a 2017 gubernatorial run this afternoon, saying during a brief address in front of City Hall that he will instead seek re-election as mayor and back Democrat Phil Murphy's bid to become governor.

I guess Fulop’s lying that there were no muslims celebrating the fall of the twin towers wasn’t enough to get him in good graces with the masters in Trenton.
Could it be that he has his own version of Bridgegate, threatening to screw up Holland Tunnel traffic unless he received more PA $$$$? (It’s New Jersey, so corruption is always a pretty good guess.)
