We need to go back to the days when an incoming administration was able to shit-can the entire bureaucracy and start fresh. How can we call ourselves a representative republic when the statist bureaucracy continues between elections and can trap and bind the new administration and the American people in a web of sloth, inertia and sabotage?
At the very least at least 50% of all government employees need to be thrown out every 4 years.
Charles Murray calls it a fifth estate, or a fourth branch of government with the distinction of never having been elected.
