The Obama administration is planning to relinquish American control over a central portion of Internet governance.
The implications of this move range from control by an international bureaucracy to totalitarian regimes locking up entire portions of the Internet, according to experts.
At issue is US control over the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
“ICANN is arguably the single most powerful institution in the world as it relates to the global economy and communication. It has oversight authority over 300 million domain names, which number is increasing every day”, states Internet pioneer, Jeff Baron.

Why isn’t it a little weird that Ted Cruz is the only one on the entire hill with his hair on fire over this?
He has one no-name as a side kick, but panic is noticeably absent from the the Senate and the House and every other candidate who ran in the primary. Especially the House conservatives.
Crickets.
If Jeff Sessions hasn’t brought this give-away up, or informed Trump to light up this subject, I am in doubt about all the urgency, or the veracity of the panic.

I think the skids have been greased for him to become U.N. Secretary General since he was elected. That's the next best thing to being president of the world. He's a globalist from the git-go, just like his recent predecessors including the Bushes, the only exception being Reagan. The game has been rigged for years.
UN rules don’t allow someone from a country with a permanent seat on the Security Council to become the Secretary General. For that they would need to have the SC change the rules, which requires a unanimous vote by the five permanent members.
If President Trump doesn’t scotcch it, Russia or China probably will. They both have nothimg but contempt for Obama.

I don’t get it either. I’m hoping the lack of response is not a measure of how repressive our American Government has become. Could there be some severe penalty, implicit or explicit, that would scare 99% of our representatives into stone cold silence. I don’t even hear an open debate, with one side saying ‘don’t worry, be happy’, as when we changed from 1999 to the year 2000. Nothing happened. This is different.
I’m hoping we are not yet that far down the line to 3rd World Style Dictatorships, but with ‘O’, I don’t know. Obama’s contempt for this country’s citizens is well known, but he usually attempts to hide it. Some of his henchmen, like Jeh Johnson don’t bother trying to hide the snarl of contempt and disdain from their faces. The whole world see it.

Cruz and Duffy R=WI are doing yeoman’s work on this issue...There are nearly 40 House Sponsors (going up weekly) and 6 or 7 Senate sponsors and other senators working with Cruz.
