Even though I think Chris Wallace is a snarky little weasel I will bet he doesn’t let Sickery off in the 3rd debate.

The job of the moderator is to maintain order and to regulate time, not to engage in any sort of contest with the candidates.

Lauer and Holt both contested the statements of candidate Trump.

Unlike candidate Clinton, both Lauer and Holt know the questions ahead of time and therefor are prepared with additional material that Clinton would be unlikely to have. They use that material to further contest Trump’s statements in a way that Clinton could not. This is an ambush and designed to help Clinton.

Lauer and Holt both are dishonest referees.

Additionally, Holt asked:

No questions about Clinton’s server

No questions about Clinton’s charity

No questions about Clinton destroying email on phones under subpoena

All of which are very pertinent.

No questions about anything that would be difficult for Clinton were asked.

On the other hand Holt tried three times to make Trump’s prior questions about Obama a race issue, when race was never a factor in those questions.

The choice of questions, the badgering of a candidate, and distortions of a candidate’s statements are all grossly unprofessional displays of bias.

Trump should pull the plug on these pathetic debates. The so called moderators are pro Hillary shills. Why should Trump have to debate the candidate and their shills?

It makes no sense for him to attend any more of these farces. The debate commission is a joke. Don’t participate in any more of their shenanigans.

Everyone knew Lester would act like he was on Hillary’s payroll and he did.

Debates are worthless.

Because these are not actual debates. In a debate the moderator is there to keep time. The moderator is not there to decide what the topic of the debate is.

A real presidential debate would start off with a simple question, such as "should the US build a wall on its southern border?" Each candidate should pick a side, yes or no, and convince the audience that they are correct.

These "debates" are absolute BS.

TRUMP should say this in his opening statement at the next debate:

“To all of you Americans watching tonight. As you watch this debate, take note of the following: I am not here to debate BOTH the moderator AND my opponent — as was the case last time when the moderator stepped in with false corrections to what I said and argued several points with me. That’s called being tag-teamed.

That is inappropriate behavior for a moderator in a presidential debate. Candy Crowley did that to Mitt Romney in the 2012 debate with Barack Obama and he was too weak to fight her on it. Unlike Mitt Romney, I will call the moderator out on inappropriate behavior immediately. To those of you in the audience, if you notice the moderator starts debating against me, please take note and verbalize this phrase “MODERATOR FOUL!” — because if the moderator is not following the rules, why should you in the audience follow the rules of not clapping or booing?

Those of you watching tonight, I’d like you to:

1. Notice how many softball questions they give my opponent compared to how many personal attack questions they direct to me. That’s because the mainstream media is in pockets of the Democratic Party, in case you hadn’t noticed. This is called “media bias.”

2. Notice how when I make a good point, the moderator tries to shift attention away from the point that was made or interrupts me, but doesn’t do the same for my opponent.

3. Notice how calculated Hillary is when she has that fake smile plastered on her face while citing far-fetched allegations about me. I’m a real person. My opponent is a phony and a fraud. Just look at all the scandals that have swirled around Hillary and her husband for the past 30 year. It’ll make your head spin. That someone with a sordid history of dishonesty tries to pin fraudulent behavior or racism on someone like me is astonishing and embarrassing to this process.

4. When politicians don’t have a valid argument against their opponent on principles, they resort to ad-hominem attacks. I may attack her record (deleting 33,000 emails and being against protecting our borders), but I do not do ad-hom attacks, although there are so many I could do. For example, she cited likely false allegations from a mere handful of my past employees many years ago. Well, I could equally cite what her personal secret service agents have said about her. Or many other petty “hear-say stories” in her past. But that’s petty.

Those of you watching are smart enough to see the phony person that is here on the stage with me.

Let’s stick to the issues tonight.

Thank you, Donald Trump.

Next debate is Anderson Cooper and Martha Radditz!

All the more reason to not show up. Its like walking into the political equivalent of a kill zone. Smart people don’t do that.

—”The phony Clinton foundation was nothing more than a money laundering operation to collect her bribes masqueraded as “speaking fees”. “

Excellent point.

In exchange for Trump releasing his tax returns, he should demand that Hillary disclose the financials of the Clinton Foundation to get more color on how these sleazy transactions were done. That, after all, is an integral part of her money.

And what about the $1.50-per-pair-of-donated-USED-underwear that she & Slick Willie Clinton declared as Donations (tax writeoff) before he was president. A USED PAIR of underwear.

These people are swamp scum...

The RNC needs to decline all future debates until they get rid of all TV personalities and get “facilitators” who ask broad, not specific to the candidate questions and let the candidates take the conversation where they want.

These debates have too much of the “moderators” inserting themselves into the debates for publicity and not enough balance.

It’s a simple fix, stop allowing these liberal tv activists moderating.

Rudy’s right. I tried reading the debate transcript.
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/hillary-clinton-donald-trump-presidential-debate-hofstra-university-transcript-video/

Couldn’t do it, made me too angry. Especially the `Race’ portion where Lester and Hillary do their tag-team routine.
It was envenomated ad hominem and baseless invective and smearing.
We expect it from her but Lester Holt should be ashamed to call himself a professional. He’s as much a political hack as George Stephapoopalot.

Trump needs to reengage in the next two debates, and prep more intensively.

************

I’ve worked with people who had personalities like Trump. They are bright people but they’re not preppers. They’re spontaneous and don’t agonize over details. They are self confident and don’t feel the need to do it. He is not going to change. He is what he is.

Not saying I dislike him. To the contrary, I believe Trump has the right vision for the country and he is a leader. But he’s not the type of person who knuckles down and prepares for things. He does everything on the fly.

Trump should have asked Holt if he squeezed his head. Holt would say no so Trump could say if I want any crap out of you I’ll squeeze your head.

“Trump should go back for more. He just needs to be ready to refute any future “fact checking” from the leftist moderators.”

Agree wholeheartedly - though he needs to prepare better next time for how to deal with such “fact checking.” Keep a little tally and after a couple point out the disparity - or even on the first one point out - “I came here as the Republican nominee to debate the Democrat nominee - if you want to debate then next time become the nominee” and move on.

The RNC isn’t going to do that. The RNC is full of clueless idiots. I know people who have worked there and can assure you that the committee is worse than you can ever imagine. Beyond stupid.

The Democrats must be thankful everyday for the RNC.
