Actually, this could be beneficial.

Wasn’t Cruz a debate champ at Princeton?

There was a lot of hype about Cruz’s intellectual brilliance and great debating ability, but I seem to recall that we saw little or no evidence of either during the primary debates.

To all the naysayers: at this point, it is not about Cruz helping Trump develop policy (Trump has that already). This is about Cruz helping Trump with the art of debating — if the two of them are successful, then Trump the debater-dealmaker will be utterly unstoppable.

your timing is pitifully bad

I don't agree. I was pleased he got his endorsement out prior to the debates, I didn't want Hillary having his "vote your conscience" as a soundbite. You can be upset that it even existed in the first place, as I am. But this is all hands on deck and you don't tell a guy who can shoot to go back to his bunk when the kamikazes are flying towards you, even if he really irks you. In my opinion.

Cruz supporters shouldn’t be alienated, nor would they be IF they had a clue as to how disastrous globalism is. ESPECIALLY if they’re Christians! Globalism = One World Government!! This one world government IS the beast who is against God. Why would a Christian want to support someone who supports an anti-God agenda????? Honestly, it doesn’t matter if the person is a republican or a democrat, a liberal or so-called conservative, there’s NOTHING conservative about strengthening the one world government, or supporting anybody who does.

That’s my appeal to Cruz supporters...wake up and THINK. It’s also my appeal to Clinton, or Romney, or supporters of anybody else who supports an anti-God agenda, if these supporters are also Christians.

Eventually, it WILL happen. I just hope it’s not now.

“Anybody who works to alienate those Cruz supporters is trying to get Hildebeeste elected.”

Cruz supporters shouldn’t be alienated

Then put a stop to the Cruz hate. It's irrational, it's stupid, and IT HELPS HILLARY.

Debating is a skill that Cruz has. Trump missed a lot of opportunities to slam Hillary. Any help for the next debate would be great. Trump will be expected to improve. There is room for improvement.

Cruz is doing his self promotion bit again.
He should have approached under the wire.

He is a real snake. Still hiding his venom behind “kind” remarks. “I forgive him.” “I’ll help him.” Get off it, Tedious. We see right through you.

True. The Trump/Cruz war is way past being OVER.
While the battle was vicious, Cruz was only a primary election opponent. The focus now must only be on the enemy of our beloved Republic.

“Way too much talk about . . . he should have hit her with the Clinton Foundation and he should have hit her with more of the emails and he should have done this or that.

HE’S GOT YOUR VOTE. HE ISN’T ON CAMERA TO MAKE YOU HAPPY. HE’S THERE TO WIN INDEPENDENTS AND MINORITIES.

To win them, all he needed to do was look rational. His win criteria was really, really low. There is no need to “go after her” and take risks with losing votes because bullying. It’s not football. You don’t have to run up the score for some tiebreaker in the playoffs. If he wins by 1 vote, he wins.

Or rather she loses. She is so unfavorable, all he has to be is “an acceptable alternative”. Look distinguished. Look rational. That’s all. This is not football. Prevent defense doesn’t lose in this game.”

Couldn’t agree more.

rAgreed, even though it was very tough to watch.

Lame Cherry did a decent analysis. Trump clearly was coached to NOT take the bait. She was jabbing and going for the jugular all night. So, whatever their plan was--it involved Trump losing it. LC thinks she was planning to break into tears if and when he brought up Bill and the women. Possible, who knows? Or maybe if she really lost it and clearly came unglued, they'd replace her on the ticket.

We all just know it a lot of restraint for anyone to not take her apart last night and it was a calculated decision not to. He did more than good in that regard.

we just have to trust they knew a little of the plan and knew what they were doing.
