I said from day one that this guy is an empty suit.
Watch the vid posted upthread before you make such an ignorant statement.
If you want to talk about pollution, that is one thing but climate change is another and it is the power mad people in the environmentalist movement that is putting the two together to make it look like man made climate climate change, Pence should be wise enough not to fall for it.
Trump has a dam good track record but no one is 100 percent infallible, and every one is ignorant on one subject or another but you missed on that one.
The issue, of course is degree (no pun intended). If you spit in the ocean you effect sea level, but don’t build new sea walls because of it. Similarly, humans can also be said to effect climate change. However, all but the die hard climate kooks say that humans don’t cause catastrophic global warming.

I agree with the notion of following science, to the detriment of the left’s pseudoscience. I have observed no instance of a permanent human impact on the environment (but rather temporary, unless it is continually exacerbated, and there are several examples of that), and none on climate. There are also several divine curses in action that the left, being materialistic, attributes to human activity.
I think Pence and Trump are not opposed to clean air and clean water and stewardship of our land, sea, and air in general. We have made great strides in improving quality, but worship of Earth over our people’s right to work and crippling industry and manufacturing is not going to fly with TRUMP, or Pence, or me.
Pence could have been more exact, but his and TRUMP’s words will always be slandered, twisted and mocked, as this AP story proves.
This is not much of a break from Trump. Headline fodder.

Turns out this is an AP smear from a Chris Coumo interview on CNN. Pence handled the subject perfectly in keeping with Trump’s point of view that “Washington bureaucrats can not control the climate of the Earth”.

Thanks, i think we need to just listen to what the man says rather than take the dam lying news stations word for it.
Pence is not saying that man can control the climate, but human activity has or can have some impact on it. For example, if Brazil decided to wipe out the Amazon rain forest by cutting down all the trees, the climate of the Earth would be affected just as the existence of the rain forest is impacting our climate now.

Obviously, humans affect the client in some way. That does not mean the effects are significant, negative or reversible. And of course the climate is always changing and always has been.
I like Pence. I think he’s a good fit. It was still a dumb statement. It’s not going to change minds either way. It’s still silly for him to give credence to that nonsense junk science
The 7 billion humans on the planet do impact the environment, which in turn affects the climate. The issue is to what extent. There is no proof that human activity is the controlling factor or even to what extent it influences the climate. The science is not settled.
It’s not always “immediate vicinity”. For example, in many bodies of water in the USA, the primary source of mercury contamination is... China.
However, if one studies the Earth’s climate over the last few million years, there’s really little to suggest that, barring a sizeable nuclear war, MAN is heading the Earth toward a global catastrophe that Mother Nature (or God, if you like) would not hit us with anyway. IF we are having an effect at all, it may be to delay or reduce the effect of the next period of glaciation — a pretty well guaranteed event, otherwise.
Ok Governor, now please explain for me how humans were responsible for The Little Ice Age.
