Thank you all for your help and interest!
Just checked the Library of Congress site and the House bill number here is correct. The correct Senate bill number is S. 3034, not S. 3031.
OH THANK YOU for catching this!!!
I will note that on posts...
Last week I had 3034 and somehow I got more info and wrote it down as 3031...
It is the PROTECTING INTERNET FREEDOM ACT - SB3034
Folks, REVISION: THE BILL NUMBER IS SB3034 (not SB3031)!
It is the PROTECTING INTERNET FREEDOM ACT - SB3034
You’re welcome.
Both bills should have already been voted on and it gripes me that they haven’t. WTH have they been waiting for?????
At least I know how my congressman (DesJarlais) will vote IF it’s brought up. He’s a co-sponsor. How Sen.s Corker and Alexander will vote is anyone’s guess.

Yes, they certainly should have voted on this...They AWLWAYS SEEM TO WAIT TILL LAST MINUTE...And with the election and daily major news events (shootings of police, terrorism, email dump, etc.) the news is not ever covering this!
Lucky you that your Congressman is a co-sponsor—I believe Duffy and Cruz are working hard..I am beginning to think the leadership does not wear white hats :( They are dragging their feet on this...Not sure why but Duffy;s office said it is much easier for the House if they get the Senate CR with the 3034 ;) language in it...
Corker will probs go with the “company line” and Alexander too—tho Alexander seems like such a weasel—well both of them are...I am not casting stones—I live in Illinois with Kirk and Durbin...doesn’t get any worse ;(
Anyway, thank you for catching me...I read it wrong one time or something and then just started putting wrong bill number, but I always referred to it as Protecting Internet Freedom Act, so these Congress Critters know what we are talking about...

It does not serve the best intersts of the American Public in any way to allow any aspect of Internet control to leave our shores!
Please consider contacting one of the numbers provided above.
It’s hard to believe that even Obama would actually do this.
But here is the professional witness testimony:
“This reaffirmation was made through an exchange of letters. Not only are the letters non-legally binding, they actually acknowledge the possibility that at some point a separation of the IANA function from ICANN might threaten the stability and security of the US governments top level domains. [Such as military websites and government websites.] I cant speak for other observers, but for me, as a lawyer, an exchange of letters is a way of avoiding a contractually enforceable obligation. I know why ICANN would prefer that course of action I have no idea why the NTIA would accept it on behalf of the US government.”

What I meant is can’t you repost it in a different way or add to it and repost it: All freepers need to see your post.
I called and had to leave a message at McConnell and Ryan’s number, but actually spoke to someone in Cornyn’s office who was very nice. I am very upset about this, I think our leaders have some type of mental illness, or moral illness, to even think this is a good idea.

I saw your IL in name...Are you from Illinois? Iam calling Durbin’s office tomorrow—I’m sure that will be fun...NOT I have called Kirk’s office...no assurances.
Glad you got thru to person, but it is not absolutely necessary...messages are OK too. They just need to know that people are paying attention.
Yes, these people are crazy fir even considering any type of giveaway—As Jim Rovbinson says, “Giving away the internet or any part of it is sheer lunacy!”
Thanks again for your help!
