Who "won" the debate? It's as simple as this.

Trump gave a lot of reasonable answers. It wasn’t the worst or the best of what was theoretically possible.

But to put too much weight on the debates alone is to lean on an artificial criterion.

What does one DO with a bullshit artist anyhow? It takes time to plow through the bullshit.

I think most people remember the knockout punch and the touchdown pass more than the post-game analysis and he lost several opportunities for those.

But I sincerely hope you are right. We need to win this thing. It is truly the last chance for survival of a free Republic, which is already on life support.

“Mr. Trump should have prepped...”

He let himself get baited. He got mired in minutiae, went off on tangents and repeated himself. He got in some good hits, but to me he came across as someone who likes to hear himself talk to the detriment of making simple points.

He needs to stay on message and Keep It Simple.

Most who watch debates look at them as entertainment. I don’t.

Hillary’s big smiles showed me that she cares nothing for this fine country and all she wants is global power to crush us under her thumb.

Donald Trump was all business and totally devoted to our country.

If the MSM believe that Clinton won, they will lose to the people they helped destroy this great nation and will be hunted down like the dogs they are.

We will not allow these scum to survive after this election...

He might or might not, but the second time around I expect he will have thought through the kind of bullshit that she dishes out in such a forum, and will come across better.

Diehard libs are going to vote for her No Matter What.

Trump’s supporters have always been 100% reliable, whether R, D, or I.

So take both groups off the table. The only gains to be made are with those who are “undecided”. If they haven’t heard and see enough about Hillary to come to the Trump side by now they haven’t been paying attention. And if that’s the case, they aren’t paying attention to this debate either.

Well said Jim. I didn`t watch the debate, as I had to work, but based on most of the comments, it sounds like it was about a draw. Hillary was not dealt the knockout blow we all had hoped to see. That causes alot of Freepers to consider it a loss for Trump. But in truth, we need to look at it in terms of how it was viewed by the general public.

Neither us here nor the die hard Hillary supporters were changed by what happened tonight. The most important question is how the LIV`s viewed it. What might by viewed by us as a disappointment by us might very well be perceived by the LIV`s as slightly positive in Trump`s favor.

As someone once said, Donald Trump could post a youtube video showing him throwing a cat into a wood chipper, and I would still vote for him. Nothing changed with this debate. Trump did fine. He was talking to average Americans, Hillary was wonky, smug and canned. Her joke lines were written for her and awkwardly delivered. Holt was clearly gunning for Trump. But watch the MSM headlines scream Clinton victory.

But the time on the field literally IS the only time that the ball players have. Nothing else is part of the contest.

Anyone who thinks that about a POLITICAL contest has a faulty model, to say the least.

This isn’t Jimmy Carter vs. Ronald Reagan. This is the Wicked Witch of the West vs. Dorothy, and Dorothy only needs to locate the bucket of water.

I am a big trump supporter. Watching the debate live, I was cringing a lot. I thought he looked and sounded defensive. And he missed a lot of opportunities to hit it out of the park.

However, watching replays of various “soundbites”, trump actually came across better than I thought live. I guess I keep wanting him to hit her with all the stuff they have on her, I missed some of his really great points.

That being said. Trump will do better next time. In this age of 100 news outlets and internet, how much do debates really sway voters? 20 years ago, the debates are where a lot of voters got their first real impressions about the candidates. Trump and HIllary both have name recognition and a long public history. Not much to be learned about them during a debate.

Black voters might very well win it for Trump.

I think tonight he won a very large chunk of Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Sealing the deal there is “huge.”

This is true... again this is not looking like Jimmy Carter vs. Ronald Reagan, because the two were hardly even looking at one another publicly before that famous “There you go again” debate encounter. There has been no lack of rancor between Donald and Hillary and anyone who didn’t know what they were standing for in general was likely living under a bridge.

If Jimmy vs. Ronald were going on today, there would have been a furious tweet war.

Bullshit. Hillary lied through her buck teeth with assistance from a biased hack who LIED in saying “Stop & Frisk” was “unconstitutional.”

The frickin’ bitch called him a racist. That’s an ad hominem attack that would have made you an automatic loser in ANY High School debate class. That’s not “baiting.” That’s low-class trolling that is COMPLETELY “un_Presidential” and shows “temperament” that’s “unfit.”

This “debate” was a farce that based on who told the truth and nothing but the truth Trump won going away.

I agree. In any event, I think Hillary launched everything she has (in a very canned manner) and Trump still has a lot of fresh ammo for rounds 2 and 3.

Which I expect along with a batch of new faked polls showing renewed Hillary momentum.

The MSM is totally in the tank for Hillary as Holt’s “assistance” to her revealed tonight.
