Wrong. It was two against one. Trump had to stay in defense posture. Hilary was a hot air balloon. Trump spoke truth and Hilary was common.

Trump did just fine. He will do better on the next one. Hillary was strident and rehearsed and sounded like the school teacher nobody likes.

He let Hillary win. He didn’t pussy out. He’s thinking strategically. He’s Mr. Nice Guy for the first debate.

The low-info voters don’t know about the details of Hillary’s history of continuous scandal. The strategy is to save it for the next debate, and the worst of her scandalous life for the final debate.

What people will remember....

Hillary 30 failed years a politician with a smooth lying tongue.

Trump a businessman with common sense, gets results, says it like it is.

Considering the way the moderator treated him, he held his own...

To us, who recognize the stagecraft involved. To those just getting involved...I shudder.

Tomorrow's numbers are NOT going to favor his performance.

Make sure she watches the third debate. That’s when Trump makes a Hillary-devastating performance.

On the contrary, he picked up several points. And if you or anyone else thinks other, then you did not watch the same “DEBATE” the rest watched. Hilliarys little puky smile and complete utter talking point comments did not do her well.
People do not like such crap as the personal attacks she directed towards Trump. Then, he had far less time to respond since she took up most of the time with her lies.

Bullshit.

A draw at best.

No knockout punches by either side, and that was with Holt sending nothing but hard questions to the Trump side.

I love how he emphasized that she has experience alright “but it is BAD experience”
bad experience - could not name a successful experience
Woo! Hoo!

The only way that's possible, and I'll admit it IS possible, is if Trump has convinced the vast majority of the electorate to vote for him already.

Short of that, I can not see how tonight didn't hurt him.

For both sides the objective of the debate is to persuade low-info voters and people who might sit it out or consider third party protest votes. Trumpetistas and GOP loyalists are going to vote Trump no matter what happens in the debate. Communists, yellow-dogs, and other Hillary supporters are going to vote Hillary no matter what. Greenies and Libertarians are going to vote their candidates no matter what.

Trump really has to perform in #2 and #3 ‘cause there are some conventionally conservative, Republican-leaning voters who really don’t like him and who distrust him. But he will perform. Trump is a genius at self-promotion, and he thinks strategically. There’s no sense in wasting his powder on the first debate.

The geezer vote is also a challenge for Trump because geezer benefits are very important to that demographic. Trump’s unconventional approach to politics may create some uncertainty in their perception of the stability of their welfare checks.
