Glenn Beck Sours on Cruz: I Should Have Backed Rubio
Breitbart.com ^ | 26 Sep 2016 | Rebecca Mansour

In a long and often rambling discussion following a contentious interview on Monday with Senator Ted Cruz, radio host Glenn Beck criticized the Texas Senator’s justifications for finally endorsing Republican nominee Donald Trump. The radio talker even declared at one point that he should have backed Senator Marco Rubio for president, instead of throwing his full support to Cruz in the GOP primary.

Beck grilled Cruz over his decision to back Trump after declining to do so on principle when he suspended his campaign and when he addressed the RNC convention in Cleveland.

“This weekend, you wouldn’t answer the question if Donald Trump is fit to be president of the United States,” Beck said to Cruz.

“What I said is this is a binary choice,” Cruz replied. “I wish it were not a binary choice. As you know, I tried very, very hard — as did you — to prevent it from being a binary choice from Hillary and Donald Trump. And I think it is fair to say there was no other Republican candidate who left more on the field and did more to stop Donald from being the nominee than I did. But the voters made a different decision. And you have to respect the democratic process, even if you may not be terribly happy with the outcome.”

Someone needs to do one of those Hitler rant videos where he finds out Cruz is backing Trump.

Glenn should have supported Hillery all along. He ruined Cruz’s chances. Just don’t endorse Trump, Glenn. I want him to win.

That's the way I hear it.

BTW, I heard some of his broadcast the other day where he was chronicling Hitler's rise. For as much as I heard, it sure sounded like he was comparing Trump to Hitler.

Really? Before or after Rubio's mental malfunction at the New Hampshire primary? (See my tagline)

Lot worse than just that. He called a fellow broadcasters wife while on air in AZ and gave his congrats to the guys wife on their having a misscarriage.

He also lied about his Mothers death-calling it a suicide when it was fully investgated and found it was a drowning accident. No note was ever found, etc.

The dude is full blown wacky. Always has been and always will be.

Holy catz. I’m listening to the rebroadcast of Beck’s show from today. Following his interview of Cruz, he started a tirade that rapidly descended into unhinged madness. At 1 hour 55 minutes into the program he actually said the words that neither party supported people having their own “God damn” opinion.

That really should be enough to get him pulled off the air.

This "never Trump" "logic" drives me crazy. A binary choice? What are they talking about? There were 17 choices available to Republicans and two to Democrats. Now that the primaries are concluded there are (as always) two choices, one each from the major parties, as well as Libertarian and Green Party choices, a whole host of other lesser-known minor party choices, and finally, the option to write in whomever one chooses.

What Cruz and Beck really mean, of course, is that the majority of the people chose a candidate that they don't like and therefore they act as though the choice between Trump and Hillary was somehow forced upon them. If anything, the establishment did everything in its power to attempt to foil Trump's bid, but the people overpowered the establishment. It is on the Democrat side that they might have an argument, as we now know that the system on that side was clearly rigged in favor of Hillary.

The bottom line is that Cruz is consumed with his own ambition and Beck allowed his irrational Trump hatred to drive away most of his viewers/listeners (including me), and the resulting implosion of his empire is driving him over the cliff.

Cruz made a bad decision picking up Beck.

I hope he’s beginning to see that.

I listened to Beck Today, said he won’t cry any more.

Lives on what we can only assume is an estate (read compound), owns jets, and $250k car.

Let me be very clear, I don’t begrudge that!

But...drop the piety, NOBODY believes that but an ever shrinking few.

I remember when Beck was funny, that was a long-long time ago. (decade +)
