Is it possible she is seeking a way out of service?
If so, she will get her wish.
An intelligence specialist position is hard -- mental, not physical. I know someone that started there, but couldn't sustain it and was reassigned.
If that's what she wanted, she should have asked for it. At this point, she's unlikely to get an honorable discharge and it will dog her for the rest of her life.
