LOL! Salonistas really do believe their own ridiculous fantasy world. Liberals can certainly be good for entertainment, but they should never even be near power. You might as well give a three year old a nuclear bomb.

The writers of Salon believe in the concept of monolithic blocs in society. I suppose that thinking of groups of voters as being composed of a multitude of individuals with their own personal motivations is a bit taxing for the snarky, simplistic mind of a Salon writer.
