Of course, because Harvard U. pays the other 7%. What I find weird is that if I give a million dollars to a university with a 15 billion dollar endowment, and they invite me to all sorts of events and soirees,and name a building after me, it is ALL tax deductible. If I give a $5 dollar bill to an unemployed fellow on the corner, it is all taxable.
