Thank you! It was a brutal hike, but I'm glad I accomplished it (though I would NEVER do it again).

It took about 7.5 hours to get to the top and we took very few breaks. We stayed at the snowy summit (in mid-July, mind you) for about an hour and cracked open a can of beer to celebrate. My favorite part was being surrounded by all the gray-crowned rosy-finches that live up in this high elevation. They almost eat out of your hand!

It took only 5.5 hours hours to get down and we were moving fast. Total hike was 22 miles round trip, with an ascent of 6,000 ft on those first 11 miles.

Glad I did it but I'll never do it again. That item on my bucket list is now checked. (Funny thing is, before I went, it was never on my bucket list!)
