Wouldn’t a larger podium make her appear smaller?

Yes -- exactly.

I think it's the other way around.

Yep. More likely the larger one is for Trump.

That is exactly what I was thinking. A midget standing beside a Clydesdale would look much shorter than one standing beside a pony.

Podium: what you stand on.

Lectern: What you stand behind which holds your notes and liquor glass.

Will she also need a safety harness and the lectern bolted to the stage so she doesn't pull it over on herself when she passes out?

Yes, the smaller podium is likely hers. They’ll hardly ever both be shown in the same shot. Proportionally, the two candidates will appear to be of equal height because the visual cue will be how tall they seem in their respective podiums.

In a word.....

Yes.

That’s the same thing I was thinking. This is stupid. Trump is going to dwarf his smaller podium and the large podium will dwarf the “media” princess. This doesn’t make sense. She’ll look like Lily Tomlin sitting on that large rocking chair.

I think the larger podium would be for Trump, because most of the time the camera will be on one candidate, not both. If the camera operators frame each podium in the same proportions, it will look like they are the same size. Only the shots where they are together will the audience be able to see the height difference.

The larger one would ‘hide her bottom half’ which she is very sensitive about showing.....being behind the smaller one would make her appear wider.....and also less significant as it's a smaller podium.

Really something though that they're all trying to prop her up...which just shows again she cannot stand without props nor win without accommodations or cheating done for her....

Personally I don't think Trump cares one way or other.... his stature as a man will always show greater..... Additionally..."Why would the great feminist Hillary expect special treatment to her physical frame being of difference to a mans????"
