Excellent.
Only in his second election. In the first it was red. That was because then the incumbent party was blue and the challenger was red.
I’d appreciate knowing when he said that?

Here’s what we are talking about. The Republicans were usually blue. This is from 1980, Reagan’s first election.
Just to understand, it’s just color, not anything printed, right? In my precinct we’re not allowed “electioneering” within 100 feet of the polling place (one election I even saw some people pace this distance off) and someone wearing signage (button, hat, clothing) in support of a particular candidate within that cordon would be challenged (though the Dems were always testing the boundaries of this).
I get it with the red, but I choose to think instead of commies, of rather the blood of Jesus. For some, that might help.

No, blue used to be the color of the GOP (blue bloods) and red the color of the dems (commies). At some point the media decided to reverse the colors.
Even with Voter ID, those who are intent on cheating will find a way.
Seems to me we were told, here, to turn our cell phones off, in Texas.
Taking a picture of your vote is a crime.
There are logical reasons for this, including the prevention of vote selling.
I don’t even know if color is okay, but I don’t know what they could do about it.
People have a right to wear red and blue.
I think folks should mix it up a bit. If everyone is wearing the same type of shirt to a precinct I suppose it could get old.
I’m not sure I’d want the Democrats wearing a solid blue shirt that looked coordinated.
You are not the only one.
I think red is a proper color for Trump supporters and blue for Hillary supporters.
Trump supporters are so mad that our faces flush red at the damage done to our country..
Hillary supporters faces are blue from holding their breath in childish temper tantrums when they can’t have it their way.
Haha that’s so true
You are not alone!!! It ticks me off that *someone* changed our color. The main reason I am ticked is as you said, red is the commie color and the dims are definitely the commie party.
Do both! I have been a poll watcher. It is a crappy job but necessary. Challenge those votes and record.
My experience may be outdated and it may vary state to state. I began poll watching in local elections in the 80's under a crooked school board. If the challenges weren't documented to the election judge at the polling place there was no legal recourse. Of course that was all prior to cell phones with cameras. I became a pariah in my town due to an overturned election because of illegal vote counting on paper ballots. The local newspaper referred to me as "the radical Mrs. ___," my kids were ostracized in school and I lost insignificant friends. However, I retained true friends and as adults my kids are some of the most conservative, informed 30 and 40 year olds you could meet.
Poll watching is a vital job when you know you're in a crooked election. You must be brazen sometimes about documenting the challenges BUT take the poll watching class because if you "interfere" with the election in any way the election judge can legally kick you out of there. Probably, in some precincts just the wearing of red could be called campaigning so be informed and know your area. People with the most knowledge of others in the precinct might make the best pollwatchers because they will know if someone comes in who doesn't legally reside in the precinct. However, anyone who has the guts to record and make the challenges in a legal, respectful manned is an asset.
Then there’s ths fact that Hitlery’s illness requires her to see cool colors or she goes into seizure.
Thanks for this ping
You betcha. Been a while since I pinged the old list, but this was important.
