For some Democrats, it's voting for Clinton - and keeping it quiet
Reuters ^ | September 25, 2016 | Amy Tenneery

One would expect voters from the heavily Democratic Brooklyn neighborhood of Cobble Hill to pick presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in the Nov. 8 general election. Just don't expect them to advertise it.

Like lawns and windowsills in liberal pockets across the country, much of the neighborhood is bereft of pro-Clinton signage in the final weeks before the election. It's a stark contrast to the 2012 and 2008 campaigns, when President Barack Obama whipped up a frenzy of support from Democrats and his signature "Hope" and "Forward" signs were ubiquitous.

The scarcity of lawn and window signs is an indication of the Democratic nominee's struggle to generate enthusiasm among left-leaning voters, a challenge that's borne out in polling data, and could potentially haunt her if voters fail to turn out on election day.

Clinton leads Republican challenger Donald Trump by four percentage points among likely voters, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released Friday.

But Americans of all political stripes have been more critical of Clinton than they were of Obama when he was running for his second term four years ago, according to the daily tracking poll

I live in the heart of Democratland in the greater Boston area.

There are almost NO Hillary signs or bumper stickers anywhere.

I saw my first “hillary 2016” sign on a car today in northern AZ on I15. The SUV had 2 very butch-looking old women in it. I resisted any urge that might have arisen to run them off the road.

I see it that many of them know there is no way they can defend their vote for Hillary Clinton as anything more than simple partisanship.

Even to them it is an embarrassment.

And yet... and Yet, so many Prominent REPUBLICANS including ‘party leaders’ and ‘opinion makers’ Are gleefully anbd loudly proclaiming that they will vote for her.

And so many of the others who have decided that they will ‘hold their nose’ and vote for Trump, they STILL try to tear him down at every opportunity.

Go figure.

I live in the most hardcore Democrat neighborhood in Sacramento. That might make it the most hardcore Dem neighborhood in the nation.

All government employees...Fed, State, County and municipal.

For the 2008 and 2012 races there were Obama signs EVERYWHERE. Bumper stickers and yard signs were up in at least 3/4 of all homes in the area.

So far there precisely ONE Clinton yard sign up here, and no bumper stickers.

They’re going to lose this round and they know it.

They know it is too close for comfort for sure, as to whether they actually know, or rather admit it to themselves is questionable. Let's just say reality will suck for them. If Hillary does win, we all know it will be due to the fact that they successfully cheated to win yet another election.

I still have my doubts that it will be an honest election. If it is then Trump will win. I still believe Trump will win, because it will be too large of a margin for them to overcome. I just pray that is the reality come Nov. 8th.

I can't believe anyone with any brains wants this 5' 4" lying DNC tool to have the fate of 330 million people in her hands. But then, stupidity knows no bounds.

“They know it is too close for comfort for sure, as to whether they actually know, or rather admit it to themselves is questionable.”

I’m sure that Democrat voters are tussling with a range of thoughts, deductions, observations, conclusions, and outright guesses at this point.

One thing’s for sure. Their enthusiasm for their candidate is nowhere in sight. The no-show rate for Dems this time around is going to be killer.

“What is their motivation to keep quiet about it?”

I was discussing this with Mrs. Catnipman last night; she said none of her normally rabid Dem friends are saying squat about Hillary. I suggested it’s because the ones that will in fact vote for hillary are too ashamed of admitting it because they basically know she is elitist criminal scum who is literally a traitor to her country, and many others are not going to vote for her at all and don’t won’t to admit that either.

Either way, it’s extremely bad news for Hillary.

Powering through for Satan. I’ll bet she was doing ritual blood sacrifices for her god and casting spells against Trump and the deplorables this weekend in preparation for the debate.
