To: Starboard

I was looking at the comments on some “news” article earlier this year and ran across a claim about some 1920s riot that resulted in the “death” of some “10,000” (black) people. I think it was Oklahoma.

Claims were made that the “air force” even attacked the citizens.

So I looked up the details of the case.

Some try to claim 1,000 dead (I think the official tally of black and white deaths was around 110).

And the lynch mob was trying to kill a black man (they were unsuccessful, the lawman of the city prevented it) and the hate filled historians ignore that another man (white) had been lynched for some offense only a few months before in that same city.

And the “air force” was maybe one guy’s crop duster.

A good case study in the need, and respect for, the rule of law. Its that or mob rule.
