You won’t find out from the so-called media. Only other Freepers have the brains to do the background research and then report it accurately. Here’s the FAQ as I know it:
1. Cetin’s stepfather is/was Navy enlisted who married Cetin’s mother while on deployment. It too nearly a year to secure the visas to bring his new wife and stepson to the U.S. from Turkey. Info is sketchy on Cetin’s age when he was brought to the U.S. as a Navy dependent.
2. Cetin has been out of control for the past 4 years. Records show multiple arrests for assault, classified as domestic violence against the stepfather. The most recent case resulted in the judge telling Cetin that he is not to have possession of any firearms.
3. Until 2 years ago, Cetin was considered a minor child and, therefore, protected from any consideration for deportation. Moreover, his prior crimes didn’t rise to a level of seriousness that would trigger a deportation order.
4. We can’t know what his full heritage might be, but he self-identified (according to his Facebook and Tumblr pages) as a Turk and believer in Islam. The fact that he went through his formative teen years in an area that has no Mosque closer than 100 miles away suggests that what he knows of Islam was learned in the home at his mother’s knee or through the Internet. Among his “Friends” on Facebook he showed both Sunni and Shia radical leaders.
5. According to a post by one young woman who attended high school with Cetin, he was a boorish pig who regularly engaged in agressive and uninvited sexual advance toward many female students - pinching, slapping them on the butt, groping, etc.
6. Since Cetin had a substantial arrest record, his fingerprints are on file. Law enforcement was likely able to get a match with the fingerprints on the rifle they found at the scene of the murders and knew pretty quickly who they were looking for. The disinformation put out that the attacker was “Hispanic” was a bald-faced lie, probably initiated by the FBI and Homeland Security. Both agencies were present and probably taking the lead in this investigation within an hour of the attack. Within a couple of hours of the murders, the FBI issued a statement saying that there was no suspicion that this was terrorism.
7. The narrative that Cetin’s target at Macy’s was a former girlfriend, who worked there, was quickly disproved when we find that their relationship had dissolved many months ago, she no longer worked at Macy’s, and she was NOT one of the 5 victims in his shooting rampage.
8. Cetin is in the custody of local law enforcement. Given what is known (and has been disproved by the facts), Cetin should be in federal custody and charged with a terrorist act of mass murder. Perhaps this will finally happen AFTER Monday’s Presidential debate....

I doubt he’ll be charged any time soon for they’ll find he has (as usual) mental health issues common to youth whose families continue to practice Islam once in the states.
I might add also that those mental health issues are not considered that in Muslim nations....rather “normal behavior” for their citizens....they know they have a violent population who settles matters thru violence.
This why there will ALWAYS be serious problems for Muslims in this country.

Why was this demented family admitted to this country? When this killer started abusing his classmates, they all shoud have been deported.
My guess is he has a half dozen bottles of old psych meds he’s been on/off for the last five or more years, and he took a bunch before and after the mall shooting.
That’s the “zombie-like” part of it, IMHO.

Why was this Muslim criminal still living in our country? Now there are 5 innocent people dead because of our total loss of our borders and immigration controls.

I understand. I know what I am doing and I figure everybody else knows what I am doing. No biggie. Nothing that can;t be fixed.
