Am retired DC lawyer. Old friend at ABC bureau there says NBC is strongly suspected of paying $35,000 for Charlotte shooting.
Source says they received some inquiring calls from perp's family lawyer regarding ABC's possible "interest" in obtaining video, but when "The Suits" called him back, they were effectively told "the deal is already done."
Only a rumor, but remember, DC lives on rumors, 95% are usually true, and this is from a usually very reliable source.
On the bright side, she will have to claim it on her taxes, so maybe it will cut down her EBT allotment.
The cops should ask for equal time. I am always suspicious of people videoing during a life threatening situation. You just have to wonder if they are hoping the situation will go south. And the gun has the guy’s blood and fingerprints on it. The wife should be arrested for lying to the cops about the guy not having a gun.
The 100% will be if they find his fingerprints on the bullets loaded into the magazine.
No way a “throw away gun” can fake that.

I was astounded at the composure of the wife - although she raised her voice at the police, she did not sound like a woman whose husband was just killed.
My big question is what was she talking about when she repeatedly told Keith, “Don’t do it.”
I can only conclude that she knew that Keith was either going to kill a cop, or that he was going to cause a cop to kill him (suicide by cop). What else could she have meant by telling him, “Don’t do it, Keith.”?

The video isn’t all that bad for the police. You can hear them saying repeatly “Drop the gun!!” to him and the wife/gf/ whatever telling him “Don’t do it, don’t do it!” to him.
Even the multi-million dollar settlement Rodney King got for his troubles didn't save him. He ended up at the bottom of a pool somewhere, having drowned while strung out on something or another.
