Hillary Clinton has cancelled her trip to Charlotte after protests over the deadly shooting Keith Lamont Scott entered a fourth night.
The Democratic candidate had announced that she was preparing to get back on the campaign trail with a week filled with appearances before actual voters, after ducking off the rally circuit to prepare for Monday's debate.

It was a stupid move to go to Charlotte anyway so I figure she realized this, the locals were not wanting her their, so it had disaster written all over it. Besides, she is obviously still sick so the cancelation gives her added cover for Monday if she has issues to claim, “See, I’m still sick, affected my campaigning, affected my debate, give me break and sympathy vote for trying.” This is the biggest risk that she’ll play for votes and avoid issues and scrutiny.

There are 45 days until Nov 8th now. I know technically the dims could switch their nominee up to when the electoral college meets but in practical terms what would be the minimum time for any replacement to actually have a short term campaign? 1 or 2 weeks? A month? or are we already past that stage?
imho at this point if Hillary cannot continue due to physical and mental reasons, the best thing in the national interest is for the (D)s to concede. the (D)s should simply own up to the fact that they hitched their wagon to the wrong horse, rather than stay in the race by trying to find a stray horse as a substitute.

The Trump campaign must use this as a issue. If she cant keep up at least a half rigorous schedule, then she in no way would be able to handle the schedule as president.

If Hillary decided to cancel because of health issues or because she realized she wasn’t going to look good on this issue, she could easily have called the Democratic liberal mayor of Charlotte and asked her to say that she didn’t want the candidates to come. As far as I know Trump never said anything about going to Charlotte, but the Charlotte mayor included him anyway.
She’s trying to pick up the Obama/Jackson/Sharpton `rat torch of making political hay by mau-mauing and making worse an already bad situation.
