In Lynden, which is northern Whatcom near the border, we have a Hispanic population working at the meat packing plant, the dairy processing center and a few of the larger farms. They mostly live in what I call the "low rent district" in Lynden. A few live by me, and they're hard workers.

I haven't run across gang activity in town. I would assume they would be more active in Bellingham.

What about the gunfight at the Fair 4 years ago? Kind of makes you miss the days when those idiots were only flashing gang signs at each other in the Walmart McD’s.
