7-Eleven Coffee Cup Poll Reflects Election

7-Eleven typically offers two different coffee cup options for its 7-Election promotional campaign, each named for one of the presidential candidates from the two major political parties. This year, however, there are three options: Republican, Democrat, and “Speak Up.” No candidate names.

The nondenominational “Speak Up” cup is currently winning the poll by a pretty fair margin. It offers coffee drinkers the opportunity to pencil in their own political stance, or abstain from pouring their brew into a partisan container to maintain their political purity.

With the exception of Idaho and Iowa, which are both leaning Republican in 7-Eleven’s poll (and in real life) coffee drinkers in the 32 states with 7-Eleven locations are favoring the “Speak Up” cup.

I’m willing to bet that many of those “neither” cups are Trump people who don’t want to be hassled whilst enjoying their coffee....or attacked.

16 states without a 7-Eleven? I didn’t think there were even 16 cities without a 7-Eleven.

At least in my area, most 7-11’s are found in gritty, low-income urban areas. Not sure if their clientele would be demographically representative of the nation as a whole.

Yep - The silent Majority - will probably deny they voted for him too, but will pull the lever for Trump in the Voting Booth.

Even in States like California, Massachussets, and Maryland, Clinton doesn’t have more support than “Not Interested”.

So Trump is winning the Gritty low-income vote ? I'll take ... what do they have to loose.

BTW, where I live, illegal day-workers congregate at 7-11's for jobs ... how ironic ...

This means nothing. Most people will go to the same place to get coffee every morning. It is the same people buying the same cup every morning.

Ding, ding, ding.

The first telephone poll (for POTUS) was inaccurate for that very reason - the demo of what households had phones at the time.

OTOH, didn’t the “The Big Bang Theory” types debate Slurpies for three seconds or so?

Agree completely. No Trump signs in the yard, no Trump stickers on the car......will quietly support, but do not want to have my life destroyed by Lefties with anger issues.

I used to live at the foot of Hanover street. 427 Commercial street. Well, that’s where my mail went, my housing unit wasn’t always there.

Here in the FL Panhandle we don’t have a 7-11 within a couple hundred miles..........They sold all their FL their stores to Circle K chain way back in the 80’s. I hear they are just now starting back in FL..........

Even in heavily democRAT New York, hIllary doesn't lead. And I'd bet that most who buy coffee don't want to lead with their chin in an environment where something as simple as a coffee cup could get you fired for a "microagression".
