Since this weekend, donations have been rolling in to support the two men, who normally live a hardscrabble life in Elizabeth, with Mr. White living on fixed income and Parker never knowing where he'll lay his head each night. As of Thursday morning, a GoFundMe page set up to benefit Parker, White, and the Elizabeth Coalition for the Homeless Parker has received more than $20,000.

A homeless shelter is crassly taking advantage of the situation to take a third of what people donate to these men. Just not right. While homeless shelters deserve help, this just isn’t the circumstance. They didn’t bother helping these men BEFORE they behaved so well and saved many from injury. Someone needs to start another Fund Me account whose proceeds will go all to these men.
And find them jobs. ...
