I always hated him in that dumb movie City Slickers.
I was too young to read French that well when these were first published, but I did hear them sitting on Grand-père's knee...
I read that series of headlines in Reader's Digest (back before it became a Legal Bulletin Board for the Pharmaceutical industry) when I was in grade school in the 50's.
It has always seemed a good illustration of simpering, spineless toadies.
I get tired of listening to a lot of negativity and poor mouthing. It just not good mental health to hear it over and over again.
Sometimes I turn on GB just because he’s on when I am getting ready. I used to like him, but have now resorted to turning him off because of his outlandish never-trump position. He and his giggling posse are so outlandish with their never trump innuendo.. it’s disgusting. I really think he would rather have hiLIARy. Seriously. And all of the never trump people that I know are big followers of GB. FB is doing himself and everyone else a diservice with his divisive , holier than though anti trump pontificating.
