Why would you give all that info to Yahoo or Google? Or Apple?

That’s why I don’t use these “e-wallet” programs and apps.

The Guardian is reporting this was a “state sponsored” hack. Translation either Russia or China.

What email service do you use that you gave same data to?

account information was stolen from the company’s network in late 2014
This happened two years ago and they're just now making this public? Pathetic.

I REALLY hope we don’t see any republican or Trump hack info before the election. I’m sure they all have skeletons.

Only two pieces of personal nformation are needed to steal your identity: Your birthdate and your SSN. This is why you should never give any website your real birthdate.

About time Yahoo admits to be hacked. Seems like every month or so we start getting lots of hacked email from our Yahoo email using customers. This admitted breach, 500+ million, is pretty big. Why don’t they just say everyone got hacked, that they gave everything out. I suspect by the time the dust settles that will be the case anyway.

Like I said, I didn’t, and I wouldn’t.

But, the article claims that some people have.

Sorry to see this, as a yahoo mail user for more than 10 years. But, my date of birth is fake, and answers to any security question on any site are random fake answers, I only use unique passwords, ie each site has different password - no duplicates, no telephone numbers - so I have done what I can to protect myself, I hope.
