And then, with age, their healthcare and drug prescriptions became an overarching concern. Harsh, maybe, but I believe accurate.

Good question. This is the result of kids who have never been told “no” or had boundaries. In a group setting, (think about a nursery or kindergarten class) the only child that got attention was the loud, crying or obnoxious one. (good or bad attention is still attention) so now, they still act out this way. VERY simplified down, but you get the gist.

That’s true. One of my favorite movies about some British mercenaries trying to rescue a politician in Africa has a charity benefit held by the cast on the DVD. I freaked when they were referring to the charity containing the word spastics in the name. I guess the Brits have a different meaning for that term.
