Northern Virginia would also be NeverTrump Central. A high percentage of Republican consultants and contractors would be happy to vote for an Establishment Republican, but not for a man who may break the system.

Along with the government check cashers and the Beltway Bandits in the Northern Virginia area, in the Valley and on down to the tip, there are vast swaths of welfare recipients. Basically, nice people but they have done the math and realize they can lay in the hammock and get hand-outs for the same amount (or more) dough than they would get by working a labor job. Don’t count on personal pride to lift up the masses, anymore.
