CMPD Police Chief Kerr Putney and Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts held a news conference Wednesday morning following the fatal officer-involved shooting of a man in Charlotte.
Community activists held a news conference at The Village at College Downs Wednesday after a man was shot and killed by police in Charlotte.

I Have to at least partially blame the media for this. They put out a video clip of the alleged daughter raving on TV, complete with a dozen bleeps, without fact checking to find out if he really did have a book and not a gun.
The police chief said in a press conference this afternoon that the police recovered a gun, and when asked about it, also said they did not find a book.
These barbarians don’t care about truth, they don’t care about blacks, their only goal is to find a reason to destroy their own city. If they cared about truth, they would wait until they had some solid facts. If they cared about blacks, where have they been while over 500 have been killed in Chicago so far this year?
Again, like Ferguson, it’s about a false narrative...a lie. He had a gun, not a book, the so called daughter, if that’s what she is, probably knew it.

I can’t find anything that says Scott had any serious criminal record, at least not in any of the press releases I’ve seen so far.
What I do know so far...
Police were looking for a suspect, Scott turned out not to be that person. They originally wanted to talk to him for that reason.
He got out of the car, got back in, got out a second time with a gun, I Haven’t seen confirmation that he had the gun the first time he got out. Witnesses, other than police, have verified he did have a gun.
No book was found.
He was told loudly to drop the weapon several times and refused to comply. Sorry bud, cooperate with police and you just might not get shot.
His daughter, if that’s who she is, lied when she said he had a book, same thing as Ferguson. False narrative. The press failed big time by not verifying that before airing her obscenity laced rant.
The officer who shot him was also black, and not in uniform, but did have a bullet proof vest on with police logo. Officer has been placed on administrative leave, standard procedure.
I think that’s it, that’s what I get so far from press releases. So we have another city in riot mode because of a lie. I can’t call the shooting victim a thug, it looks like nobody is saying a thing about a long criminal record, I think I did see that in someone’s post though, maybe in another thread. If so, it’s not true, as far as I can find out.
From what I understand, #Occupy created BLM to get them back into the limelight. That's why there are so many white people at these so called "riots".

Watching them loot and burn only serves to cause anger and disgust that the money spent on police protection does not buy protection, only weak efforts at containment.
Reports they are breaking into residences should lead the locals to take the safety off.

They think it will make their supporters turn out to vote? Many will be too tired and will be napping in front of their new TV’s. Others like myself will vote our anger and disgust with every single dumblecrat on the ballot.

He has called out the National Guard and mobilized the Hiway Patrol. He is in a tight election so these actions can make or break his campaign. I can only imagine how much political considerations are being weighted in these decisions.
But dang it, law is law and right is right.
I think he is going to move to quell this either peacefully or with the judicious use of force. Either way, it should help him cement his no nonsense stances. I think the majority in this state want it stopped and stopped NOW. No mealy mouthed appeasement and pats on the head about their anger. Don’t give a rats azz about their anger.

The rioters /BLM thugs expressed their motives very clearly:
They want dead cops, they hate whites, they advocate and perpetrate destruction and chaos, and they care nothing for their fellow brethren of color.
They are terrorists, just as the muslim terrorists who express the same sentiments and hate.
Clean this mess up and deal with them accordingly. Decent people should not have to fear their homes and businesses being wiped out, and their lives in jeopardy.
This is anarchy. Rioters are threatening life and property and the public safety. They are causing property damage and participating in larceny. There are no consequences to the perpetrators who are breaking the law, thus they are tacitly encouraged to do this around the country.
This has to stop, and the media needs to be held accountable as they are spreading the false narratives that the person shot was reading a book and didn’t make any threatening moves.
Is it any wonder that law abiding citizens are rushing to by guns for personal protection?
Will the Nat Guard open fire?
They will have rubber bayonets and no bullets.
