I know what you wrote. I am pointing out the absurdity of it. If you are as educated and intelligent as you are bragging about, I would think you would understand the references. A child that learns a end language because it is spoken around them is hardly any more educated or intelligent than a child that grew up hearing only English.

It’s that pride in something that took no effort that is the hallmark of the illegals. They are so proud of their culture, they refuse to become Americans.

I’m not an academic, a snob or anything like that-just someone with a garden variety bachelors degree-that I haven’t used in my work in 12 years-I’m a blue collar worker-in construction-now because I love it, and I’m my own boss.

It is easier to learn a 2nd language as a child and be proficient-adults have a tougher time.

Do people of French ancestry who live in Louisiana, some other southern states, Washington, etc who speak French as a 2nd language bother you, people of Asian ancestry who speak Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc as a 2nd language-or do you only dislike those of us who speak Spanish?

Anyone who goes to live in another country should learn to speak the language native there-otherwise, how are you going to get work, buy stuff, etc-I do not believe in coddling people who go to a foreign place to live...

When MrT5 and I visited his family in Quebec, I noticed that signs and package labels were in both English and French-like the ones in English and Spanish here in the US-I don’t think either country should be using another language on a package/sign if English is the language spoken there most-neither did he, even though he spoke that French dialect...
