Local news is up close and personal with the activities in north Charlotte (near UNCC). Many roads are blocked off to keep the crowd from growing.
Many of the “attending yutes” are just milling around, cutting up, holding their cellphone cams up. Lots of middle fingers being thrown at the camera...but not with a lot of animosity...just trying to get on TV. One police Explorer was abandoned by the police...subsequently stomped by the riff-raff. Police came back and cordoned off the vehicle, started throwing tear gas. One of the reporterettes got slammed in the back by a thrown bottle of water, or, she says...maybe a brick (right). There have been a lot of water bottles flying around.
Really, all looks kind of silly except for the fact an officer (a black officer) killed a black man. Apparently, the guy had 7 kids and was sitting in his truck waiting at the bus stop for one of his kids. One of his kids said he had a book. Cop said he had a gun. The cops were there to serve a warrant...maybe for him, not sure.
Hey, at least it sounds like he was hanging with the kids. That’s a good thing.
Gonna have to row my boat back out to the middle of the local lake to see if I can recover those defensive weapons I lost last spring in that horrible boating accident.

Could someone tell me what’s known about the shooting? All I can find is the daughter’s version, which is incomprehensible.

They look for any excuse to play victim and vent.

Officer Brentley Vinson fired his weapon and struck Scott, who "posed an imminent deadly threat to the officers," the department said in a statement.
Vinson, who joined the Charlotte police force in July 2014, also is black, according to the department. He has been placed on paid administrative leave.

A man, not the suspect police were searching for, exited the vehicle armed with a firearm and got back into the vehicle. Officers then approached the man. The man got back out of the vehicle armed with a firearm and posed an imminent deadly threat to the officers, who shot the man, CMPD says.”

They just presumed that officer was White. It fits narrative. So called witness was also blaming White people.
