Wrigley — the company behind the popular Skittles brand — responded to Donald Trump Jr.’s use of an analogy involving the candy to illustrate a point about the Syrian refugee crisis in a statement on Tuesday. “Skittles are candy. Refugees are people. We don’t feel it’s an appropriate analogy,” Wrigley Americas vice president of corporate affairs Denise Young told the Hollywood Reporter in a statement.
“We will respectfully refrain from further commentary as anything we say could be misinterpreted as marketing,”Young added.

Why is having a “poisoned skittle” represent a murderous terrorist controversial? He was talking specifically about things that will kill you. You end up dead either way. Yes, the skittles stand for people—that’s what analogies often do. Is the left (and this company is clearly part of the left) seriously trying to argue that vaguely helping people is more important than whether some of those people end up murdering Americans? Questionable humanitarianism and political correctness trumps people’s lives? That seems to be their point with this faux controversy—and I find that very troubling. It’s too bad those volunteering other Americans to die can’t be the only victims.
It would be much cheaper to resettle the refugees in the Middle East and in safe zones (so we could help far more), but the left isn’t really looking out for the refugees; they’re just trying to replace enough Americans that they get total control over the governmet and destroy our Christian, capitalistic, Western nation to the point of being an unrecognizable, totally different country and culture.

Because Hillary is dropping in the polls, and the press is desperate to find a distraction. That’s what the revamping of the birther issue was about. And that’s what the press getting worked up over Trump saying Hillary’s bodyguards should disarm (since she’s against the Second Amendment)—something he first said back in May—was also about. It’s grasping-at-straws time for our national propagandists.
