Her handlers have told her that she needs to "open up" and "become more human." Today's speech was an example of that. She is not getting the kind of excitement among the 18-25 crowd that Obama got, and she is working to get enthusiasm into that bunch.
The press will amplify her attempt by fawning all over it.
This approach will not work in a debate.
