The RNC forced Trump to sign a pledge that he would support the GOP nominee along with the other contenders, as they feared Trump would try a 3d party run, as I recollect.
I wasn’t supporting Trump at the time, but I expect a man’s word should be honored.
Kasich is a liar, just like Hillary. Same goes for you also, Cruz, and I supported you.

Bingo. It was a one sided 'pledge' by the other candidates ... "Heads I win, Tails you lose" ... they never expected Trump to gain the nomination, so now they're walking back on their 'pledge' to support the eventual nominee.

Same here ... I supported Cruz until his "NY Values" screed in the debates, being a NY'er myself I was just shaking my head in woe as he dug himself deeper and deeper into it. Stupid, really stupid ... this was just before the NY primary and as a candidate needing votes in the NY primary he just insulted every potential NY Republican who might have voted for him, not only in NYC (yeah, there are a few of us :), but also in rural NYS which leans heavily Republican. In his zest to take a zing at Trump, he lost the entire state right then and there.
