Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (Jewish Home) participated on Sunday in a conference held by the Jewish National Fund (JNF) in New York.
Speaking during the event, Shaked slammed the BDS movement, calling it “a new extension of terrorism.”

What is the BDS? I assume it’s not Bush Derangement Syndrome.
It stands for “Boycott, Divest, Sanction”. Another astroturf left-wing antisemitic movement, attempting to wreck Israel economically by getting foreign governments and companies to do those three things presumably to benefit the “Palestinians” (but when it happens, said “Palestinians” are the biggest victims of it quite often).
This piece is poorly written. I was taught every acronym must first be introduced in parenthesis with the full name before it. eg: Boycott, Divest, Sanction (BDS). Saves a lot of confusion.

All the acronyms on the Arutz Sheva site are usually written in Israeli context. People in the US would get confused by “PA”, which is a common abbreviation for “Palestinian Authority” and does not stand for “Pennsylvania” over there; and also “BDS” would never mean “Bush Derangement Syndrome” in Israeli context.
Agree or not, this was how SA was done in over their method of rule. Now it’s such a wonderful place without apartheid.
PS. Even in US context, “BLM” can mean both “Black Lives Matter” and the Bureau of Land Management, both antagonistic towards conservatives even to the point of shedding blood.
