CNNs Jake Tapper asked New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on State of the Union on Sunday morning about the supposed contrast between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in their responses to the explosions Saturday in New York, editing out Clintons reference to bombings to create a false distinction.
Tapper cited Trump referring to a bomb in New York, then played a clip of Clinton criticizing him for saying that leaving out Clintons reference, seconds before, to what she called bombings.
Here is the Tappers question for Christie, with the edited Clinton clip:
Tapper: There is a contrast, I would say, between how youre speaking about it and how Mr. Trump spoke about it yesterday. Hes being criticized for talking about the New York bomb before local officials or local law enforcement had a chance to do so. He told the Colorado Springs crowd that a bomb went off in New York, and nobody knows exactly whats going on thats really just a few minutes after the incident. And his opponent tried to draw a contrast. She waited hours later, until local officials spoke, and then she said this:
Clinton (clip): I think its important to know the facts about any incident like this. I think its always wiser to wait until you have information before making conclusions.
Tapper: As a general note, do you think politicians should wait until more information comes in, and should they defer to local official and investigators? Isnt that what you do as the governor of New Jersey?
Tapper made no mention of Clintons similar remark.

POS
The sounds good on the surface, but then why didn't she help Ambassador Stevens and 40 others who repeatedly gave her "information" about the building threat in Benghazi? And what about Obama's remark about the "police acted stupidly"? Or, "If I had a son, he would like Trayvon Martin" - a punk looking for trouble.
Pathetic!

@DCPoliart @joelpollak i didnt edit anything out, i never drew a contrast on the word “bomb.” the question was about timing of statements.
I’m waiting for the first Republican politician to say:
Jake, i’m sorry to say this but you don’t represent a credible news organization. Your questions are irrelevant. Good day.
Jake’s poor tongue must be absolutely exhausted.......
Governor Goomo just said on live TV that there were two bombs in NYC and two in NJ
Trump hit out of the park, most of them are despicable anti American “a holes” who if there ever were a overthrow they would be the first to go.
Makes sense to him probably.
Republican gaffes = news
Demcrat gaffes = not news
Hugh Hewitt loves Tapper. Hewitt you are a disgrace!
What amazes me is these Media people think they can get away with this stuff. Unfortunately, many who watch the mainstream media hear the initially edited remarks and don’t hear about the editing afterwards. I think that is what Networks like CNN are betting on.
CNN is more in the tank for Hillary than Chuck Todd... and that says a lot.
