Inside the Beltway: Hillary’s campaign: ‘Nothing short of a disaster’
Washington Times ^ | 9/15/2016 | Staff

The repercussions just keep rolling in: Hillary Clinton’s recent decision to call Donald Trump’s fans a “basketful of deplorables” has turned into “nothing short of a crisis” for the Democratic presidential nominee, says veteran pollster John Zogby. Ah, but it gets worse. “The entire fainting and pneumonia issue is nothing short of a disaster,” he continues, noting that the distress and drama of Mrs. Clinton’s health challenges have prompted voters to ask visceral questions about her truthfulness and judgment.

I am sure they were saying that regarding Trump beating Jeb Bush also.

Any high level Clinton staffer like her campaign manager Robby Mook is living on pins and needles. Two months ago their “victory” bus was rolling into DC and straight to the White House. Now the wheels have come off and they’re heading off a cliff. I’m beginning to see why Bubba’s politically astute campaign hands like Paul Begala, James Carville, Stanley Greenberg and Lackey Davis stayed away from Hillary. The woman is incompetent in so many ways and now her campaign is in total shambles.

Agreed. This isn’t over until the votes are counted.

We haven’t even gotten to the debates yet. This is so sweet.

IMO the Democrats hate Trump as much as Republicans hate Obama. Definitely DVR the inauguration.

It is beyond me to imagine that she could give a gracious concession speech.

Not much will happen at the debates unless Hillary keels over and croaks. Trump will just appear very presidential and confirm people should vote for him. Not much else! Hillary will just look like a robot who does not care about anyone.

Exactly, when your enemy is destroying herself, just stick to the issues, stay above the fray of the opposition’s self-destruction (as in “It’s an internal opposition party squabble.”), and stay energetically engaged with the electorate. Gradually limit campaign rallies to critical battleground states, and begin carpet bombing those states with ads that paint the picture in bold, sharp colors, never pastels.

I still think it will be close.

We are in for a lot more twists and turns. I imagine the media will gin up some sort of Trump “gaffe” controversy from the debates and will pound, pound, pound it.

At this point in the race, I’d much rather have Trump’s hand to play than Hillary’s though.

“Help” is coming! It’s big! It’s exciting!

“... Mrs. Clinton may also get an assist from one Democrat who has been largely quiet about the race, but can testify to the importance of resisting the third-party temptation: former Vice President Al Gore. Her staff has had conversations with aides to Mr. Gore about bringing him onto the campaign trail to emphasize the importance of supporting Mrs. Clinton if they want to make progress on combating climate change...”

I agree with you 100%...I guess that’s why I can’t rejoice over these numbers yet...I will after the first debate if they reward trump with bigger numbers..then I can truly say..STICK A FORK IN HER THE BEAST IS COOKED!!
