Clinton returns to the trail -- and not a moment too soon for Democrats
After missing three days of campaigning and fundraising to recover from pneumonia, Hillary Clinton is back on the trail. And her return is not a moment too soon for Democrats, with Donald Trump continuing to gain ground in the polls -- if not overtaking her in some key battleground states. The latest national polls still show Clinton leading Trump: Quinnipiac has her up five points among likely voters, while the New York Times/CBS poll has her ahead by just two in a head-to-head matchup. But two polls yesterday (via CNN and Bloomberg) found Trump leading in Ohio, and another survey (via CNN) showed Trump up in Florida. Bottom line: The political winds are currently at Trump's back, and Team Clinton should be worried. The state of the race now puts so much more pressure on the first debate (and less margin for error). A campaign can always overreact to news like this, but you also don't want to underreact.

What a conondrum. Usually her numbers go up when she is nowhere to be found.
Has anyone actually seen her today? All I see is media reports about her being back on the trail. I thought maybe she’d show up in person somewhere shaking hands and kissing babies...
She’s like a car just running out of gas. It dies, it comes back. It dies, it comes back a little less.
Soon she’ll be on fumes.

Take another look at that video of her from this past weekend.
She can’t talk.
She can’t walk.
Her limbs won’t move.
That’s total incapacitation.
Let’s give her a chance to do that at some big summit. That’s the ticket.
Good! The REAL journalists will be on her trail like a pack of hounds. Every moment she ducks for cover will be documented and every step she takes will be videoed. One more (inevitable) nosedive and they can just drive her right past Chelsea’s apartment and drop her right at the morgue. Of course, we here, at FReerpublic all wish her the best of health for the next two months but one more nosedive and she will discover the Pack o Rats she has been running with is actually a school of sharks and one more face plant and THEY will rip her to shreds.
When she does finally show, I want to know it’s really Hillary and not her body double. If it’s the body double they can only show her from a far. No closeups. The body double’s eyes are too far apart, she has a furrow in her brow that canckles doesn’t have, her eyebrow ridgeline is all wrong, far fewer wrinkles, and about 30 pounds lighter.
I have a friend who teaches biomedical engineering at an Ivy League school. A nearby department treats Parkinson’s patients. He said she exhibits all the exact symptoms he sees everyday. She was basically frozen, but a few minutes later she can be back to “normal.”
These are going to be some of the most press-managed events in US political history. No one will be allowed the use of cell phones or cameras at these events. A select number of press will be allowed into these events, and the Clinton campaign will authorize what can be released to the public. I would bet the farm what gets reported will in no way represent what actually takes place.
