Britain's military intervention in Libya was based on "inaccurate intelligence" and "erroneous assumptions," a report released Wednesday found, pointing the finger at former Prime Minister David Cameron for failing to develop a sound Libya strategy.
The United Kingdom and France led the international intervention in Libya in 2011 with the aim of protecting civilians from forces loyal to then-leader Moammar Gadhafi.
But Britain's Foreign Affairs Committee found that the Cameron-led government "failed to identify that the threat to civilians was overstated and that the rebels included a significant Islamist element."

Isn’t obvious to everyone? NATO/Obama/Clinton’s decision to overthrow and assassinate Khaddafi created a huge vacuum in Libya, filled by warlords and Jihadis, and was a major factor in the worlds largest refugee/immigrant flow within Europe since WWII.
Overthrowing Saddam Hussein did the same in Iraq, but at a minimum GWB recognized that American troops would be needed to try and stabilize things, as difficult as that turned out.
Obama wanted to keep his Nobel Prize but still wanted to kill Khaddafi and install his Muslim Brotherhood pals in Libya. He and Clinton thought they could war-monger without any consequences.
Team U.N/NWO: 0dunga, Merkel, Hollande, Cameron, among others. These 4 are DEFINITELY part of the NWO cabal.
Libya was most certainly “Hillary’s baby” and she lobbied the President hard to depose Qaddafi. The whole time she was doing this it appears that her chief advisor on the matter was Sidney Blumenthal who appears to represent business interests in......... Libya. Coincidence?
Perhaps we should start a new chant -
“”Hillary lied and people died”
Only the idiots in this administration would think that some kind of pro-Western democracy would arise out of the ashes of Libya. Honest questions - was the Middle East in better shape before or after the Arab Spring? Was the West more secure before or after the Arab Spring? Were there more atrocities before or after we cheered the removal of leaders in those nations?
On reflection, it's oddly reminiscent of her coffee shop outburst: "You guys have got to try the cold chai."
Yet Hillary took full credit.
