Of course the typed rant is little more than a series of question begging assumptions. But the yet more obvious point is why does anyone feel the need to label people who honor and seek to preserve their heritage, anything other than normal.

How far we have fallen, when it is even necessary to explain that we--Trump supporters--are rallying to a man who honors the many generational struggle of a settler people to build on their rooted heritage; to pass on their multi-generational achievements to their posterity, precisely as the Constitution calls for them to do?

I can still remember the testimony of the then head of the American Legion to Congress around 1950, when he said that the time for apologetic Americanism is gone forever. Unfortunately--and very sadly--he appears to have been wrong. The Obama & Clinton crowd have been apologizing for American achievements, both at home & abroad.

What the writer calls "racist," loyal Americans since 1776 have called "patriotism." Come November--God Willing!--we will demonstrate the truth of that call once more!
